WHAT TO EXPECT ON
YOUR FIRST VISIT
Upon your first
visit to our office, you will be greeted by Merla, our office
manager, and Sabrina, our office coordinator. They will be
available to assist you should you require any help with your
forms.
In most cases,
your first visit will not include any treatment. It will be an
examination. This allows Dr. Corbett to assess the condition of
your teeth and gums and decide on a treatment plan. She will then
recommend an appropriate time for your next appointment. Please
allow 30 - 60 minutes for your initial consultation.
Please arrive
approximately 10 minutes prior to your appointment time to complete
forms we require for your file (unless you have printed them from
this Web site, then please bring them with you). These forms
include: personal, medical and dental histories and a dental
insurance information form. It is important that you have all the
pertinent information with you including the names and amounts of
any medication you take, prescription or otherwise.
Dr. Corbett
will begin the exam with a thorough check of your mouth. She may
recommend dental x-rays that allow her to assess the bone structure
around your teeth. Based on observations while checking your mouth
as well as information obtained from your dental x-rays, Dr.
Corbett will make recommendations as to the type of treatment, if
any, you require. You can then discuss any concerns or questions
you have before deciding which option is best for you.
Once your
examination is complete, Merla and/or Sabrina will be available to
help you schedule your next appointment. |
